Paying Cash for Your Palawan Van: How It Works

Perishable facts last verified July 2026. Spot something outdated? Tell us on WhatsApp and we fix it.

Paying for transport in the Philippines usually means a choice between “pay everything online to a stranger” and “carry cash and hope”. We picked a third way: your seat is reserved online, and every peso is paid in cash, on the spot, to the driver. No card, no prepayment, no curbside negotiation — here’s exactly how it works.

Prices: displayed in USD, paid in pesos

Prices are shown in US dollars with the peso equivalent alongside. The peso amount you owe is locked at booking time — the number printed on your confirmation is the number the driver collects, to the peso. Exchange-rate wobbles after booking are our problem, not yours.

How booking works without prepayment

  • Pick your route, date, and seats online — takes two minutes.
  • Your confirmation shows a booking code, a QR, and the exact peso amount due.
  • Booking more than 48 hours ahead? Tap the confirmation link we send you within 24 hours to keep your seats — it’s how we keep no-shows from blocking real travellers. Inside 48 hours, you’re confirmed instantly.
  • Board the van, hand the driver the amount on your confirmation, done.

What cash to bring

Philippine pesos, ideally close to the exact amount — drivers carry limited change, and a ₱1,000 note for a small balance slows the pickup. ATMs are easiest at Puerto Princesa airport and in the city; El Nido’s machines exist but run empty on peak days, so withdraw before the trip, not the morning of it.

What if the van is late?

Then the cash stays in your pocket: the guarantee says a departure more than 15 minutes late for reasons within our control means the fare is waived — you ride free. That promise is easy to keep honest when nothing was prepaid.

Changes and cancellations

You get one free reschedule up to 24 hours before departure, self-serve from your booking page. Since nothing is paid until you board, there’s no refund paperwork to chase — ever.
